Products and stock

Add a product

Go to Products & stock. Enter the product name, optional SKU, selling price, cost price and unit. Save the product.

1. Select Products & stock from your business navigation.
2. Fill in Add a product.
3. Select Save product.
4. Under Adjust or receive stock, select the saved product and location, then enter a positive opening quantity and a reason.

Receive or remove stock

The Adjust or receive stock form records an auditable movement: +10 receives ten units, while -2 removes two units. Removing more units than are available is not permitted.

1. Choose a product and location.
2. Enter a signed quantity change.
3. Provide a meaningful reason.
4. Select Record stock change.

Correct to a physical count

Each product also has Set actual stock count. If TallyPeak shows 15 units and you count 12, enter 12. TallyPeak records an adjustment of -3 rather than a fresh stock receipt.

Edit and archive

In the product catalogue, open Edit product details to update prices, SKU, unit or status. Archiving removes the product from active selling without erasing its transaction history.
